Our Key Focus Areas

1. Scaling Makhana Production and Expanding Aqua-Based Crops

We aim to increase Makhana yields by promoting both pond-based and field-based cultivation systems, maximizing the potential of wetlands.
Alongside Makhana, we are exploring other aquatic crops such as water chestnuts and lotus, creating diversified income sources for farmers.

We are working towards establishing our own Makhana processing center, which will allow us to add value to raw products, develop new offerings, and create more local employment opportunities.
Through this center, we plan to buy back products from farmers, giving them the confidence to grow more with guaranteed market access. Although Makhana is in high demand, our buyback program will offer stability to farmers during any market fluctuations.

Quality Inputs: Providing high-quality seeds and agricultural supplies to enhance crop performance.
Micro-Credit Access: Partnering with financial institutions to offer micro-loans, helping farmers invest in their operations.

We facilitate direct connections between farmers and both domestic and international buyers, helping them bypass intermediaries for better financial returns.
Our work on brand-building and product promotion positions Nepali Makhana as a premium product globally, creating long-term demand.
